A ?Security Plan For U.S. Ports? was ?FINALLY? approved last night in the Senate, more that a full year after the 9/11 Attacks!! ?Is Congress over-run with Garden Snails and Galapagos Tortoises these days or what?!?

Apparently nobody in this esteemed establishment (Senate) disputed the need for ?Increased Port Security?, as the vote was 95 to 0 in favor! ?Hey, wait a minute, isn?t there 100 Senators in ?Yon Palace Of Princely Delights?? So where in the hell were the other 5 dudes and dudettes? Also, the cost of these security improvement will be a mere $4 Billion Bucks according to one lawmaker, and that is a bargain, considering all that is at stake here!

With ?Los Angeles? and ?Long Beach? being the two busiest container ports in the nation, and we here in San Diego not to damned far behind (produce-wise at least), protective legislation is long overdue, say about 430 days worth, give or take!? And to be quite truthful, we (USA) have been damned lucky, that in this case, time has (thusfar) been with us. ?But for how long,, considering the fact that we have terrorists in our midst!??

I don?t know if Saddam or his Bro - Osama, have UDT (Frogman) Units at their command, or if either of these human eels can even swim, but on our guard we must be, especially at our POEs (Ports of Entry)! For even if neither Hussein or bin Laden can qualify as a Mermaid, I personally feel that both have the blood of a ?Sea Snake and a Sand Shark? flowing through their veins!!
