We stopped at this park to eat a deli sandwich that we bought at a local deli, wash it down with a beer, and admire the beautiful homes that surround the park.

It was a real nice setting on a quiet Saturday afternoon.

There are also a few large apartment houses on the park. SF apartments commands some of the highest rents in the country.

Two different eras in harmony. One compliments the other.

I lived in the bottom flat of this building from the 5th thru 7th grades. It's located on Lyon St., a half block off of famous Haight St. These three story buildings were built after the 1906 Earthquake and Fire to get three families at a time off the streets and out of the parks and vacant lots. These places were deceivingly large because they were quite deep. There were six in my family, and we were quite comfortable in them.

This unique building is at the corner of Haight and Buena Vista Terrace, across the street from Buena Vista Park. Buena Vista Park was home to alot of homeless kids that came to the Haight-Ashbury during the '60's.
