Default Your Worse Xmas

Anyone (besides me) want to come forward and tell their worse Xmas??

Mine was in 1980 , and I was going through a real "Bitter" divorce, of which she got everything including the dog.

I got "shit faced" and went to see my two boys ( bad mistake ) when drunk.

But myself and my X got into one heck of an argument and the law was called and "YEP" I ended up behind bars for three days.

Really sux.

I was in the right for the parental rights for visitation, but in the wrong for showing up shit-faced.

Makes you think alot!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone got one better than that??????

enough..........

Post Can't top that one!

But when I was 19 and playing basketball in college we had a Christmas Tournament. I was the only out of state kid. So they gave me a key to the dorm, and a bunch of meal tickets for the local Dennys. Nobody in the dorm but me. I couldn't wait for Practice at the pravillion or a game when the other guys came and we went off to Fullerton State for a game. When the final game was over I drove to my Sisters place 350 miles away for Christmas. Boy it was sure lonely living a big College dorm by yourself over Christmas. Never appreciated people to hassel and talk with as much ever. Boy I was lonely!!! I spent two Christmases away from home in the Army but there were other people around.

Default Worst Christmas

Reeb - mine was a lot like yours.
1977, my wife and I had just broken up and, like you, she had taken everything, including the car. I had been borrowing my brother's car for a couple of weeks and on Christmas Eve I made the 45 minute drive from where I was living to my folks house for Christmas.
Had a nice little Christmas Eve get together but I was suffering from a miserable cold so I decided I was going to drive back home that night and sleep in my own bed.
It was about midnight when I got about 5 miles from home and the car ran out of gas (gauge showed a quarter of a tank). Luckily, a Good Samaritan stopped and gave me a ride. Since it was now about 12:30 am Christmas morning and nothing was open, I just asked him to drop me at home. I'd deal with the car in the morning.
About 9 o'clock Christmas morning I had a friend drive me with a can of gas to the car. When we got there I discovered someone with the real Christmas spirit had smashed out all of the windows on the driver's side and tried to rip-off the stereo. Everything in the car had been trashed and there was shattered glass all over the inside.
Not much I could do but put the gas in and drive back to my folks house (I'd promised my son I would see him on Christmas morning). I wound up driving while sitting on the console to avoid the freezing wind coming in through the smashed out window and sneezing and coughing all the way.
There were a few Bah Humbugs muttered that Christmas.

In 1987 I lost a baby on Dec 21. They let me go home from the Hospital on Dec 24. That sucked - to put it mildly.

My first trip to the hospital for my heart was in 1998, Christmas Eve. I had gone to church, with my kids, early for choir rehersal. Before I made it all the way in the church I was struck down and had to be removed via ambulance to the nearest hospital. My kids were 13 at the time, and had to go stay with my friends till I got out. The next morning I was released, and went right away to my friends' house. I banged on doors and windows and couldn't rouse anyone. I went home, and started calling, but their phone was downstairs and nobody heard it. It was a lousy Christmas eve and morning, but we had a good time the rest of the day.

Christmas of 90. Spent every penny i could get my hands on trying to make it the best Christmas ever, as we were waiting for the final boarding call for the gulf. Did not even get a Christmas card that year. Everyone said they thought I would be gone before Christams came around.
