Cassandra, the individual who was reported to know the future had but a single problem -

So who could this Cassandra have been, had she (or he) really existed? Mosses perhaps, maybe Christ, possibly even Nostradamus? One thing for sure, it sure as hell ain?t anyone performing within the political menageries of today! ?Besides, Christ and Moses weren?t no liars, and that is more than can be said for many of today?s political demigods!!
Nowadays, however, the weeds are overgrowing with sages, seers, mystics and wannbes. All can tell you without a doubt just what is in store for mankind, and many of these wizards all point in the direction of Armageddon! (No shit, do ya think?!)
?But let?s examine this analogy for a moment?? Many, many times in the past, some deranged, all-knowing entrepreneur has predicted the end of time! California was going to slide off into yon sea, causing massive tsunamis (Tidal Waves) that will sweep away humanity. Plagues and poxes would tear the life out of this planet. Space invaders (not Martians, but rather debris) would give us all a fatal kick in the pants! Or Nature itself would grow tired of our folly, or the ?Big Man? (God Himself) would say: ?Hey, maybe this wasn?t such a good idea after all?? (Curtain Time Y?all!!)
What ever the final pill, the fact remains that Humanity is but a transient visitor within this scope of existence, and the end could come in the next hour, next year, next millennia, or even as we speak! ?Who knows, outside of the Almighty Himself!??
And after all is said and done, no Cassandra, no President, no Emperor, no Seer and no Political Fool can genuinely foresee a naturally occurring end to our meanderings! Granted, we can (and are) helping the Reaper along in leaps and bounds, but let?s face facts, only God and George Bush knows the real truth and meaning of life, and God ain?t talking yet! LOL
