Sad News

I just received this in from Linda Morgan, the widow of Colonel Robert Morgan, pilot of the WWII, B-17 (Flying Fortress), Memphis Belle......

"Another page has sadly been torn from our history books!"

I am so sorry to let you know that Sgt. Robert Hanson, the Radio Operator and last surviving crew member of the Memphis Belle, died Sat., Oct. 1, 2005. Details on funeral arrangements are pending. As soon as I receive them from his family, I'll post them on my website at www.memphis-belle.com

In the meantime I know his wife, Irene, would appreciate sympathy cards/letters. Her address is
