Hi rags, you've come to the right place, we can help get you in the right direction to file your husbands claim. I was not a Khe Sanh during the Tet Offensive in 1968, but I sure as hell know there was a lot fighting there.

Rags,

I worked in the Vet Center Program for 12 years. I know many things about how the VA operates and the PTSD claim process. Have not been able to get to P-files recently and just saw this. I don't think there is a thing I can add to what has been told to you. These people have all become experts. One thing that is extremely important. He MUST begin treatment. Not only for himself but to get a diagnosis. Find the closest VET CENTER or VA Clinic and get an appointment. The VA likes to automatically turn you down if you can't show a tx facility or a diagnosis. Gotta get to work. Good luck, welcome aboard and tell Bob, WELCOME HOME.

Default Before and after

If you knew your husband before Vietnam, a simple letter "To whom it may concern" stating your observations of him and his behavior before and after his tour would be quite helpful.

If you did not know him before, a similar letter from anyone who did know him would also be helpful.
