Default c-123 reunion

There is going to be a reunion of C-123 crews in SEA at Wright Patterson AFB in May. If there are anyone out there that was involved with the C-123's and would like to attend the reunion, let me know and I will forward the information to you.

Joe Johnson, who was awarded the MOH for a rescue mission at Kam Duc will be one of the speakers. They are going to dedicate a bench in the memorial park.

Let me know, Pete

Thanks for posting this, pete.

As an Army parachute rigger at Ft. Lee, Virginia in 1968-70 I had the privilege
of rigging for, and jumping this aircraft a couple of times.

I live near Eglin AFB and remember them being here. I think AF Special Ops at Hurlburt Field was using them.

I went through training at Hurlburt in 1967 then to the Philippines for jungle survival school and Viet Nam.

I came down to Fort Walton beach to the Air Commando reunion a few years ago. That place has really changed.

When I was with the 3d SFG in 66-68 we got C-123 support for all of our jumps. I liked the 123 better than the 130 although it was a lot noisier with the jets in the outbord pods.

Pete, do you have any more info on the 123 reunion. A buddy of mine on another board is interested. He was on 123' in Nam.

Thanks,

Bill
