Default Scamp and Frisco

Kath and I have been off all this week. We spent Sunday and Monday up at Reno staying at the Circus-Circus Casino/Hotel. On Monday we decided to take a drive south down the Washoe Valley. We made a side trip up to historic Virginia City and wound up in Gardnerville, south of Carson City.

Everybody that has spent any time at all on the Pat Files knows that one of Gardnerville's most prominent citizens is Seascamp. Kath and I had made pre-arrangments to meet Bill at JT's, a Basque restaurant that Scamp introduced us to years ago. If you ever get a chance to try Basque cuisine, I highly recommend it. Bill's friend, Nelda, happened to be visiting from the Phillippines at the time, so joined us. It was a great time of good friends, good conversation, and good food and drink had by all.

Thanks, once again, for being a great host, Bill. Looking forward to hosting you down here sometime.

After dinner we took a couple pictures in the bar area. We recruited one of the locals at the bar to take one of the four of us. He'd been there for awhile, so it might be a little blurry .

On Tuesday we headed home by way of Lake Tahoe. This is Emerald Bay, probably the most photographed spot on the lake.

At Emerald Bay it was cold and blustery. Kath headed back for the car, so I had to have someone else take this picture. The white dots on my coat are snow flakes. As you can see by the surrounding mountains, there hasn't been much snowfall in the Sierras yet.

Boy are you guys, not the girls, gettin' old! Thank God I've retained my Paratrooper figure and continue to look 40.

How great that you guys got together and looks like a great time was had by all. Beautiful picture of the lake. Tom, was that taken from your family cabin?

So did you guys have to walk home from Vegas or did you break their bank?

I always enjoy reading about folks rallying up and the flicks all y'all share are great too!!! I think everyone is lookin' purty dang'd good (the ladies look great of course) and really like the shots of the outdoors...GREEN trees...BLUE water...not muddy sand and brown water!
