Default Thanksgiving

THANKSGIVING PRAYER

As the days grow shorter and the trees shed their leaves,
We greet frosty mornings and an occasional freeze.
Our hearts fill with gratitude as we look back on the year,
Knowing that Thanksgiving Day is very, very near.

We dream of juicy turkeys with all the trimmings too,
We quickly make a list of all we need to do.
Anticipating the warmth and love shared with family and friends,
Looking forward to the memories when that special day ends.

As we reflect on our many blessings, both great and small,
We remember you Lord, for you are the greatest blessing of all.
Some of our memories of this past year, we'd like to erase,
But we thank you Lord, for your sustaining, amazing grace.

You've shared your love and comfort in the form of a friend,
Through a warm hug, simple smile, or encouraging word they'd send.
Or you'd shower us with peace that only you can provide,
To simply reassure us that you are at our side.

You've given us a rainbow of color in vibrant display,
In the leaves of the trees as they gently blow away.
We never have to look very far if it's your blessings we seek,
Just help us keep our eyes open every day of the week.

Our list of blessings will soon greatly overflow,
If we simply count our blessings and let our worries go.
Thank you Lord, for your love and your unending care,
As we strive to be more grateful throughout the coming year.

Post Sometimes we look at our problems and forget our blessings.

Thanks,

There is always something to be grateful for if we look.

Default Jimmy...

Truly a blessing of a blessing.

Regardless, I wish everyone here and theirs (whether at home or abroad) have A Great Thanksgiving.

Though, remember the word: "Moderation".
Now,...if I could only remember to take my own advice? :cd:
Don't usually.

I echo the sentiments! A happy and satisfying Thanksgiving to one and all. Safe travelling to those on the go this weekend! I hope everyone finds something meaningful in their family gatherings.
