Words To Possibly Live By

Benjamin Rush (A Founding Father), roughly wrote that: “While America was free from British rule, the "American Revolution" had yet to finish!” As expressed in ‘his 1787 Address to the People of the United States': "The American war is over: but this is far from being the case with the American revolution! On the contrary, nothing but the first act of this great drama was ever truly closed."[24] In this address, he (Rush) encouraged Americans to "come forward" and to continue advancements on behalf of America! ----------------------------------------------------------- Rush’s Declaration could now be considered to be one of the first acts of open defiance in the year ‘1787 (Opinion)’ on behalf of a fledgling ‘United States of America’ but it is also my opinion, that it echoed the cry that it was the duty and the responsibility of “Every American” to continue to progress, to question and to legally and morally object to, those things that they find to be repugnant to their way of life and thinking, along with those rights that they so vigorously fought to gain during ‘The American Revolution’ – human rights and human dignities (I might add), that have become the very corner-stones of our great and enduring republic and this, even though there are yet those out there who seek unbridled and absolute control over our very lives and those hard-won liberties that great patriots like ‘Benjamin Rush, Ben Franklin and George Washington etc, fought to secure and to preserve for ‘Our Magnificent Nation’ and so it is. and so it must remain! “As no Real Patriot is truly and forever free, who does not first believe in himself and then fights to retain his own personal abilities, autonomous creations and national identity! For we are not a dictatorship nor are we a banana republic, we are the mighty and defiant ‘United States of America!’ Hardcore
