March 2nd 1968
Was with a heard of APC from a cav unit. as we walked along we came in contact. The 1/10 gave a NVA unit all they could handle. I (Had) some souvenirs of that engagement. A 50 cal will cut a guy right in half. and a RPG/B40 will stop a APC right were it's at.
The 1/50 would win that fight. I looked at the 1/50 web site and found no mention of the March 2 1968 incident. We were somewhere between Tam Ky and An Khe. I would like to say to those guys from the 1/50 ,what ever troop they were, Thank You Ron Last edited by 39mto39g; 03-03-2009 at 02:22 AM.
