Exclamation Only The Bravest

5-26-2020

According to what I just saw on the tube (TV) - “We may once again be up and running again after “Midnight Tonight!” We Certainly Do Hope So - as our people have proven themselves to be exceedingly brave and resilient - during the last planned (?) disruptions!

However, and after this (not so) little, recent dress rehearsal on shutdowns and social distancing, you have got to wonder if someone out there has any such future plans for the next economic disruption? Or for that matter, even if there are plans afoot to pull-off yet another such worldwide-shutdown at all, especially now that they know that it can be done with near impunity?

(Just Another Ridiculous Question)….

Arrow Senate Leaves Americans Hanging… Again

Senate Leaves Americans Hanging… Again

Re: https://absolutenews.com/senate-leav...t=ANnewsletter

(AbsoluteNews.com) – When the CARES Act was passed in March, it included relief for small business owners through the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). The Small Business Administration and Congress bumbled it from the start. One of the problems with the loans is companies would have to spend the money within eight weeks to qualify for forgiveness. The Senate was supposed to fix the issues before it went on break. That didn’t happen.

On Thursday, Republicans started to “hotline” legislation that would extend the timeframe for the loans to 16 weeks. By running the hotline, they would’ve seen if another senator had a problem with the bill, quickly. Everyone expected it to pass before they recessed for the holiday.

Unfortunately, the American people were left hanging and now lawmakers will be out for a week. The Senate should’ve stayed on Capitol Hill until it fixed the program. Business owners across the country are desperate for help and the people paid to represent them decided they needed a break instead of doing their job. Democrats, especially, should have spent more time figuring this out and less time on their wishlist of Liberal desires.

Hopefully, Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) remedies this soon. The American people can’t wait any longer and he knows that.

You Deserve the Absolute Truth!
