Didn't forget it - just have so many issues to deal with each and every day that you can't keep track of all the issues. It's a shame but no one actually forgets anything - this I've learned.

And what a beautiful sight it was, to see her sail back out of the repair yard, enroute to the Middle East! It was yet another story of good news, added to the firmed up Iraqi government, death of a major raghead, etc., etc., etc. God bless America!!

And hopefully there are some lessons learned about State Department weenies dictating USN on-board and deck security measures.
Oh my, stow the smiley face pennant; forget that non-sense, get some serious security fire power on deck, get the motor whaleboats away and armed to the gunwales and then run up the Jolly Roger skull and cross bones on the signal halyard.

Now, fill her up with bunker oil Habib, and keep those hands where they can be seen.

Never forgot her, or the crew or the American Ambassador Bodine.

Bodine"seemed more concerned about preserving her relationship with the Yemen government than in assisting the FBI, an attitude attested to by more than a dozen law enforcement, naval and intelligence officials present at that time in Yemen." (quote from book on FBI agent John ONeill titledThe Man Who Warned America page 304.)

It really came as no surprise to me when the news broke in Feb of this year, given all the stonewalling from the Yemen government during the investigation.
