Default Sandy Berger on Fox

Tonight on FNC at 9pm, Sandy Berger, the former Clinton national security adviser who pleaded guilty last year to knowingly taking and destroying classified documents from the National Archives while preparing for his testimony before the 9/11 Commission. Should be interesting to see how Democrats justify giving this guy a Fine for stealing National secrets.

Default R !!!!!!!

Your message is right on!!!!! Here, this POL has had two years to open his mouth and NOTHING HAS HAPPENED TO HIM!!!!!!
But you see where there or up to 10 Uniformed Officers and enlisted, that they want to rack over the coals for the handling of the "friendly fire" that killed the football player!!!

Don't think were playing on an even field, when it comes to something like the above!!!!

Default Wh7 should the Democrats justify anything?

Sandy Berger did this in 2002, AFTER he was no longer in the Cliinton Administration. he was a private citizen--it has nothing to do with the Democrats at all. Scooter Libbby, David Safavian and Steven Griles were ALL current Bush administration members when they committed their crimes.
And the deal Berger worked out was with the REPUBLICAN department of "Justice," NOT the democrats. Take it up with them!
Why should Democrats justify this at all? I Haven't seen ANYONE here "justifying" Scooter Libby's conviction for lying to a Grand Jury and obstructiing justice. I haven't seen ANYONE here "justifying" the BUsh administration's outing of a covert CIA agent. I haven't seen ANYBODY justifying David Safavian's (White house Chief Procurement officer) conbviction for corrution. I haven't seen ANYONE "justify" Deputy Interior Secretary Steven Griles confession of crimes in the Abramoff scandal.

Lets total up the convicted Bush administration officials (so far): NINE!
Lets total up the Ckinton aides indicted and convicted during the Clinton Administration--ZERO! (Berger's crimes was committted after Bush was President)
I'll let 0-9 speak for itself

And by God, I want to see the truth come out about the Tillman debacle. UThe public has a right to know the US Army withheld the true facts from a grieveing family for their ownj propaganda purposes.
And I want to see that stupid sonifabitch who put all those 50 cal rounds into Tillman thrown out of the US Army and all the people who lied and coverd up for his fuckup also. Sorry sonofabitch should have never had on an Army uniform--he killed a real hero. Take that from an ex Ranger.
You bet your ass we want accountability!

"....WASHINGTON - Former Deputy Interior Secretary J. Steven Griles pleaded guilty Friday to obstruction of justice in a Senate committee?s investigation, becoming the highest-ranking Bush administration official convicted in the Jack Abramoff corruption scandal.

The former No. 2 official in the Interior Department admitted in federal court that he lied to the Senate about his relationship with convicted lobbyist Abramoff, who repeatedly sought Griles? intervention at the agency on behalf of Abramoff?s Indian tribal clients.

Griles pleaded guilty to a felony charge for testifying falsely before the Senate Indian Affairs Committee on Nov. 2, 2005, and during an earlier deposition with the panel?s investigators on October 20, 2005
In government papers, Griles acknowledges he obstructed the Senate committee?s investigation into Abramoff and his associates? dealings with Indian casino clients. Griles admits he testified falsely four times to the committee and once to the panel?s investigators.
...."

Berger was appointed by Clinton and had to have a very high security clearance just to view the documents. Saying that the Bush administration should justify stuff is not talking Berger. It's a smoke screen. Iran does this well. (If we capture some Brits maybe nobody will notice we are building a Nuke)
The subject is Berger, Thats it, nothing else. Watch the show.

Ron--

gee--I thought you were playing "Justifications" here. You ask ther Democrats to "justify" something but i have NEVER seen you ask Republicans to justfy any part of their culture of corruption, which is extensive and longlasting.

I say again--Berger was NOT a public official when he committed his "crime." He was a private citizen, had not been a public official for two years.
This is VERY relevant to understanding this: You say the Democrats should "justify" what Berger did--Why? He wasn't an elected or appointed Democrat official when he did what he did. Why are the Democrats responsible for this?
The Republiicans, on the other hand, are responsible for the crimes of Safavian, Griles, Stillwell, Cunningham, Ney, Delay and the rest because they were elected/appointed REPUBLICAN officials when they committed their crimes, their crimes were an abuse of power by REPUBLICAN officials solely for their own profit --Berger's was not. Furthermore, their crimes are a lot more recent--youre flogging something thats over 5 years old just so you can have something to slam the Democrats with

I'll watch the show without coment when I see you ask the Republicons to justify their culture of corruption
Stay good
James

Ps--the Pat Tillman debacle isn't on topic either but you know how that goes

So are griles, Stillwell, Cunningham, Ney, Safavian and Abramoff--and you know what? They were ALL high powered Republicans. I love seeing Republican officials being led orff in handcuffs--especially because it happens so frequently--whens the last time you saw a Democrat being led off in handcuffs?
Heres a picture of the latest Republican hero being led off in handcuffs.

Show me one of a Democrats being led off in handcuffs

Saying he was not a public official and him actually not being one just may be different. Clinton appointed him, That kinda makes him an official. You have to have the highest of security clearance to even view national security documents, That kinda makes you a public official.
I don't care for a lot of republicans also, But I don't believe there is a culture of corruption, (except , maybe , ALL government officials are corrupt) and saying it don't make it so. And writing 20 or 30 pages of un-co-oberated ,left wing conspiracy don't make anything true, or false.
"Bush Lied , People died" Is just stupid. Nancy Pilosi told Bush to "take a breath" when he said he would veto the bill to fund troops with a pull out date.
If I was Bush , I'd sign the thing and hold All those that put there name on it accountable when the shit hit the fan, and then the Democrats could welcome home the Troops with a big sign, "LOOOSERS" as they came back to US ports. Cindy could call them names and Jane and all the rest of the idiots in Hollywood could have a big ol party.

If you going to judge, at least you should be informed a little. Did you watch the show?
