Default A Marine's Marine has Passed

Reading my Purple Heart Magazine a few minutes ago, I found out that my friend and patient William R Fraley has passed in Asheboro, NC. Bill was a good man with lots of problems, most associated with his service as a Marine in Vietnam. I saw his name in the TAPS section and couldn't believe it. I found his phone # in my MOPH directory and called his wife. She confirmed that he died in October and they had been trying to get hold of me but couldn't find me. I would have loved to have been at his funeral, but I would have loved to have talked to him one more time. The moral of this story is, take the time to keep in contact with your friends. Even though he was my patient, the problem I always had was the love I had for my "guys".....and it crossed the so called "Patient/Therapist" relationship. It's also another reason that I will not miss PSYCO MTN. His wife told me that for years he had been doing fine and was able to be the loving wonderful man she had married. I always knew it was there. He was a Poster Boy for the Marine Corps and one of the largest Sumbitch's I'd ever met. Huge dude with a matching heart.

Rest in Peace my old friend. Bill is in the arms of the Lord and telling stories on the Fiddlers Green as we speak.

Here's to CPL William R. "Bill" Fraley, USMC Vietnam 65-67. SEMPER FI, DO OR DIE.... My friend.

Unhappy Rest In Peace Marine:

Another one of our Brothers has left this world for a far better place.

I like to think that Heaven always welcomes every Vietnam Veteran when he or she arrives because ALL VIETNAM VETERANS HAVE ALREADY SPENT THEIR TIME IN HELL.

Rest in peace Cpl. William R. Fraley. The rest of us will regroup and form up with you some time in the future.

To all the rest of my Vietnam Veteran Brothers and Sisters I again wish you a very warm and heart felt:

WELCOME HOME:
