We had a good American Legion Post here in Bartlett for awhile. A real go-getter for President. Only problem was that he was also a real-estate agent, got the Post head over heels in debt and bought a house we couldn't pay for for our Post and then had an affair with an auxiliary female member. He was kicked out of the American Legion altogether and joined the VFW. Our Post has since disintegrated. Very disappointed with this whole concept.....
Don't know if I am going to join anything else. They all have their heads up their collective asses, and are in deep, deep denial about a lot of things... Larry
