15 british sailors capured by Iran navy

The Iranian navy has seized up to 15 British sailors, the Ministry of Defence confirmed today, sparking a diplomatic standoff between the UK and Iran.
The Royal Navy and Royal Marines personnel were taken after they had boarded a dhow during a routine patrol in the Shatt al-Arab waterway at 10.30am local time.


120 miles of tidal waterway
Formed by Tigris and Euphrates rivers
Subject to 1639 Persian-Ottoman treaty
Southern stretch forms border between Iraq and Iran
River is vital trade route for both countries
Control of river one of disputes causing Iran-Iraq war in 1980

The President of Iran is on his way to the UN building to speak to the Security council before they give new sanctions in Iran. Soooooo, The British shoud grab him and take him to the British embassy, (which is British territory) and then the negotiations could start for the release of the British sailors.

The reason that the pres of Iran didn't make it to the Un is because his security couldn't get a last min visa. He could come to the US but some of his security could not , so he decided not to come, GOOD MOVE.

So the Brits have confessed that don't mean nothin, Hell I would confess to liking Bob if captured.
