Neil
Your ignorance and misguided inability to comprehend the difference between "a system today" of unparralled excellence in world class health care at the VA as described and outlined in Phillip Longmans report,.... and George W. Bushs' piss poor record of providing adequate "funding" to accomodate the continued success of such a program is astonshing!........

This, along with the failures of his administration to provide funding for increased staffing levels in the health care system and the VBA (claims adjudicators, claims processing, etc) show just how stupid you really are when it comes to understanding the F-A-C-T-S!

Are you off your meds again?

Please don't forget to take your nap.

You need to rest what limited amounts of deteriorating gray matter remains between your ears.

Default Gimpy,...

To say: "You're A Full of S--t Dem Hack" would actually be quite complimentary.

After all, your claiming that The Bush's 20 BILLION DOLLAR INCREASE initiated a couple of
years ago and/or LARGEST EVER SINGLE INCREASE in VA History, displays: "A piss-poor
record of adequate funding",...is downright Intelligence Insulting.

You keep proving it time and time again and/or that if there's anyone: "Stupid" here,......
IT IS YOU. You Stupidly think that most people here on Patfiles ACTUALLY believe you.

Hell, I Personally would believe Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton or Barack Hussein Obama Jr.,
before I would believe Gimpy. And, no-way-in-hell could I ever believe those other
Democrat Supremacists and/or Typically Deceiving Phonies in-a-million-years, to start with.

VA Budget Earns High Praise

WASHINGTON
—The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) is commending lawmakers (the Democratic Congress you dingbat----Gimp)for approving a conference report that will provide the largest increase in funding for the Department of Veterans Affairs in its history. DAV now calls on Congress and the Administration to support this important legislation and enact it by Veterans Day.

“The Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations bill calls for an 18 percent increase over the VA’s 2007 funding level,” said DAV Washington Headquarters Executive Director David W. Gorman. “This increase in veterans health care and other programs is especially welcome news at a time when our nation is at war.”

As approved by a House-Senate negotiating panel, the measure calls for $43.1 billion in discretionary spending for the Department of Veterans Affairs, the bulk of which is for veterans health care services. That total is $6.6 billion above the fiscal year 2007 enacted level and $3.7 billion above the President’s request. Importantly, the funding increase approved by Congress does not rely on user fees or higher prescription co-payments that had been part of the President’s budget request.

Gorman highly praised the House and Senate leadership for recognizing the need for and providing generous support of discretionary funding levels, which for the first time were in line with the recommendations of The Independent Budget authored by the DAV and other veterans service organizations. “This much-needed funding increase, the largest in the 77-year history of the VA, will allow the agency to better meet the needs of the men and women returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as all veterans who have served in the past,” he said.

The 1.3 million-member Disabled American Veterans, a non-profit organization founded in 1920 and chartered by the U.S. Congress in 1932, represents this nation’s disabled veterans. It is dedicated to a single purpose: building better lives for our nation’s disabled veterans and their families

###END###

Will you NEVER learn that when you tell a baldfaced LIE-----------I will call your ass on it!

Why can't you tell the damn truth once in a while?

Oh ... I forgot, you're a "CON"servative, and can't stop lying, right?

How silly of me.

Default Gimpy,...

You're truly an a--hole.

After all,...just-what-the-hell does a current 18% increase in VA spending have to
do with Bush's past: "20 BILLION DOLLAR INCREASE" & "LARGEST EVER INCREASE in VA
History" at the time,...warranting your asinine: "Bush's piss-poor record..." with VA NONSENSE?

However, and since this latest 18% BIPARTISAN VA INCREASE is no doubt being totally
controlled behind closed doors (re. in committee) by The Majority Leftist Democrats,......
one should quite seriously question JUST HOW MUCH of THE INCREASE will actually
reach America's DISABLED Veterans?
Democrats normally have more important Societal Engineering Priorities to fund.

Besides, if Dems cavalierly diverted F.I.CA. Funds AS WANTED, why should The American
People stupidly believe that The Democrats will keep their greedy-little-mitts off of
VA FUNDS,...anyway. There's just SO MANY foreign nationals needing assistance, here.

VA Budget Earns High Praise

WASHINGTON

VFW Praises Congress for Historic Veterans' Funding Increase

WASHINGTON, Jan. 17, 2008--America's largest organization of combat veterans is praising Congress for providing the largest budget increase ever for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Today's request adds $3.7 billion to the Presidents VA fiscal 2008 budget, which now totals $6.6 billion more in discretionary funding than last year. The largest increase in the 77 year history of the VA.

"Congress should be congratulated for this historic boost in funding," said George Lisicki, a Vietnam veteran from Carteret, N.J., who leads the 2.3 million-member Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. and its Auxiliaries.

VFW Commander Furious at 3 Republican Senators

WASHINGTON, Nov. 21, 2006-–The national commander of the nation’s largest organization of combat veterans is furious that three Republican senators are holding hostage the passage of key fiscal year 2007 funding bills that prevent the federal government from improving upon the programs and services it provides to America’s veterans, servicemembers and their families.

Gary Kurpius, the commander-in-chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S., said the actions this week by Sens. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma, Jim DeMint of South Carolina and Jeff Sessions of Alabama were “nothing short of pure partisan politics and sheer arrogance towards the new Democrat- controlled 110th Congress.”

At issue are spending bills that the administration and most in Congress want to pass this year before the 109th Congress ends. By holding up the process, the three senators are undercutting vital prosthetic and traumatic brain-injury research for returning troops, delaying staffing increases and infrastructure improvements within the Department of Veterans Affairs, and exacerbating an already out of control VA backlog that exceeds 820,000 claims. The government’s fiscal year began October 1.

***********************

Yeah, right!--------Those damn Rethuglicans REALLY DO support the troops alright!...........SURE THEY DO!............GIMMIE A FREAKIN BREAK.

It's obvious as the nose on your face WHICH political party supports Veterans!

The F-A-C-T-S prove this out!

"GIMMIE (plus US ALL) A FREAKIN BREAKIN".

If weren't for Republicans and ALWAYS & HISTORICALLY staunch Military & Veteran
Supporters & Improvers shaming the usually anti-Military ACLU, UN and/or European style
Big Brother/Socialist/Leftist Democrat Congressional MAJORITY, YOU & all other Leftist
Wartime Underminers can bet your a--es that NO SUCH needed increases would EVER HAVE
OCCURRED,...if changing your spots or being quite differently honest, for-a-change.

Beside Oh Phony One and/or typical & continually excusing Democrat falsehoods & deceits
type zealot, when: "VFW Praises Congress for Historic Veterans' Funding Increase",...
even duplicitously idiotic YOU must realize that VFW Leaders weren't SOLELY praising the
normally San Francisco-minded Congressional Majority Democrats for going along with such
warranted increases.

Also, and certainly last but not least,...any Democrat Voters whom have been seriously
duped believing that Quite Suspect of Background, Intent & Allegiances Barack Hussein
Obama Jr. and/or: "The Second Coming" (according to Dem Handlers) is exactly what best
for America & We Americans during Wartime,...UNARGUABLY need some psychiatric care.

Yep, you need to call him and get him to increase your dosage on your meds.

You have definately gone completely off your rocker.

Even documented, verifiable evidence can't convince you that you're WRONG!

But, then again....you ARE a "CON"servative, aren't you?

Check what YOU write, before correcting others.
The very beginning is just as wrong as the rest you obediently spout.

I agree with you about "when I got back from Vietnam"......the VA was DEFINATELY a snake pit back then. It was AWFUL!

But, all that changed around 1994 when Dr. Kenneth Kiser took over as Chief of the VA health care system.

I swear by the system today. As do ALL the military service organizations.
Just go back and read the report by Phillip Longman.

Gimp

I really wouldn't know. I never went back. I've always paid for my own medical insurance and am now getting Tricare. Judging by all that I hear in my VFW and AL posts from other vets, the VA is still a "Snake Pit". We wouldn't need all the "Service Officers" to help the vets if the system wasn't a snake pit.

Well Smurph guess what,......... the AMA, The Rand Corporation, Harvard Medical School, The National Insitute for Quality Control, The Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, the American Psychiatric Association, and many other professional medical organizations disagree with you.

Read the report:
