Getting old ain't for sissy's

Well guys I did it again. Another battle ribbon from the battle of life. This time I tripped over our dog sophia while on my way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Being way smarter then most folks I don't need no stinking light to find my way to the bathroom, after all Ive lived in this house for twenty years. What I forgot was that dogs don't allways sleep in the same place. I'm a shuffleing along when all the sudden I'm flying just like superman except gravity jumps in and start dropping fast. but with my superior quickness hoaned from drinking too much and falling down in my younger days. I was able to put my hand up fast enough to cover the corner of the dresser before my head hit it. Now I'm sporting the nicest shinner i've had in twenty years. of corse all the guys at work tease me about my wife beating me up but thats what you have to put up with when your old. I hope I don't have to many trips that I don't plan in the future.:cl:

Having been on crutches on top of 6 steps going face first down the same steps , I understand. Only broke two ribs. Hope you heal fast and keep that left up when boxing her. Have a nice fall Chris !

Yup..Sporting a big ole shiner at our age will definately give em something to talk about.I shuffle around in the dark too,but it seems to be my toes that catch hell.Be careful and get well,Chris!

Instead of stumbling around in the dark, my wife and I have a night light in the living room and the bathroom. They don't use much power and it provides just enough light to see while walking or hitting the porcelin target.

Sorry to hear you took a dive. Good thing you weren't going down the stairs like Lt. Hope your all healed soon.

We have a new puppy, Bubba is a lab and as white as snow. Annette came in the house a few days ago and he jumped up to say hello. She was off balance and fell on the floor, bubba went down on top of her. Did I mention the dog is 91 pounds and thin?

Point is, even with the lights on and being sober dog can make you fall. I don't care, I love this guy. Ok, love Annette too.
