Don't pass out but I heard this morning gas would be going to $80 a barrel and will remain there for some time. Gas here is about $2.19 for the cheapest regular up to $2.65 for premium.

Reason for increase is that there is more demand and less refineries to process the product. To that all facilities are already at their capacities. They don't want to take our reserves for fear it would cripple us if we had to replenish it or have a national security issue that needed oil products. China is pulling much more oil than it used to. Iraq can double its output but it won't bring down the cost.

My back pocket feels the impact as its $40+ a week to fill up a 1/2 tank on my Jeep. It may be time to put her down. Bikes may make a big come back for mileage gains.

This is only going to get worse and travel will come to a screeching halt as no one will be able to afford to go anywhere. Oh well we all knew it was coming but man - it came fast this time. They say that we paid more in 81 up to $3 + but I don't think it stayed there too long? HELP me on this issue.

Reg 1.85

Mid 1.95

Hi 2.05

Let's continue to not build refineries, make 55 different formula's for states and counties, and most of all, lets not drill for any more oil. And the heck with Nuclear.....gee it's unsafe.

What a bunch of crap.

Pack in SC.

I remember 6 years ago only paying $.97 per gallon in Los Angeles but we hit $2.50 - $3.00 here depending on time of year. The only other markets I can think of that are so grossly artificially inflated are electricity and diamonds.
