When oil goes from $18 to $70 barrel just who do you think is going to pick up the difference. What was once known as the third world are using a vast amount of oil these days compared with what they were using 10 years ago, also China is buying in a vast amount of oil forcing the prices up

how we came to have
an oil shortage here in America.

Nobody bothered to check the oil.

We just didn't know we were getting low.

The reason for that is purely geographical.

And Our DIPSTICKS are located in Washington DC

The NIMBY's will win out and no new refineries will be built except in Louisianan maybe, the people there are not afraid of them. There has been a few major explosions and such but the Coonasses see these as opportunities for work not catastrophes.

New refineries or not doesn't matter zilch,...since NO COMPETITION EXISTS whatsoever.

Gasoline, deisel and all other utility prices are normally rigged and controlled as needed and wanted for acquiring excess and/or absurdly high profits, and with governmental blessings. All of America's captive consumers just cannot shop for such necessities elsewhere, since elsewhere just doesn't exist.

Such a totally controlled and despicably regulated market cannot be forever deceivingly excused as merely due: "Supply & Demand", since people can't be fooled forever. After all, "Supply & Demand" is quite obviously a totally deceptive lie and utter nonsense.

You all must have noticed that most everyone even slightly: "Connected" to OIL,...still keep deceptively excusing the price of refined fuel to basically: "Supply & Demand"(rigged), "The Oil Market "(manipulated), and now even: "Not enough refineries"(suspect also).

Well Folks, and before believing such an overall and quite purposeful excusing of such a grandscale and quite obvious profiteering and price-gouging IN THE BILLION$$$$$$,...just ask yourself a few reasonable questions.

If America has many FILLED Tank Farms (some as far as the eye can see) of both crude oil and refined gasoline and diesel (for both transport and home heating), why are there shortages unless purposefully contrived?

Since America is a large producer and EXPORTER of oil (both crude and refined),...why is there always some sort of oil shortage, unless purposefully contrived?

Think such reasonable questions to ask by any people perpetually being ripped-off by Fellow Americans in collusion, whom apparently don't even have a smidgeon of conscience, compassion or integrity towards all other Fellow Americans.

Guess that for The Big Boys manipulating such (both in government and private), GREED & ABSURDLY HIGH EXCESS PROFITS (Once: "Profiteering" used to be severely punishable during wartime), trumps TRUE and/or not fixed, rigged or manipulated oil prices,...ANY DAY OF THE WEEK?
