Always looking for a good veteran forum... and this is my first visit to this site.

On first glance, this appears to be a highly organized site with lots of great features.

When able, I'll try to spend more time getting familiar with your site's wide range of forum rooms.

Anyone serve aboard the USS Ranger during the Desert Storm cruise, we may have some old stories to swap.

Welcome and Welcome Home, too...

Many of us are grieving today, for our fallen brother Drifter, a Marine, a fine Marine... kinda fresh at the moment.

But, wanted you to feel welcome and noticed.

Might try posting on the Navy Forum and General Forum here too, about the USS Ranger and your service.

Also, suggest you consider posting an avatar beneath your handle up to the left there... go to "My Account", then to "Edit Options", then scroll down till you see Select New Avatar (these are all approximate words I am using )... find one that suits you, click on it and submit the modification... then a little picture will show up whenever you post anything... it tells a lot about a person that others of your ilk will respond to, and the rest of us will know how to couch our words so as to not offend. Otherwise, can't never tell what might get said or not said, even if you DO post an avatar

Welcome to the site Hardball. I grew up a Navy brat with a Vietnam vet dad as well. I also served in the Gulf War but in the Army as I figured I got enough of the Navy growing up hehe. Hope to hear more from you as time goes on

I see we have at least two more things in common...Gulf vets and live in San Diego.

I work with the veteran community, mainly out of the Veterans Museum and Memorial Center in Balboa Park.

I noticed you are into computers and history.

You may be very interested in a project we are working on.
