Artillery gun crews mass fire with NATO Allies

GRAFENWOEHR, Germany - The weather was cold and wet with gray skies as Archer and Cobra Battery, Field Artillery Squadron, 2d Cavalry Regiment stood by their guns to await fire missions March 8 in the Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany.The Squadron participated in Dynamic Front II, a multi-national exercise that focuses on identifying the capabilities and limitations among theater-level systems by testing and synchronizing multi-echelon fires. DF II, which took place March 6-9, 2017, tested the interoperability at the tactical level using the Artillery Systems Cooperation Activities program that integrated NATO Allies into an artillery live fire exercise.
