Still here - and so far my biggest battle was with United Airlines, whom I will never fly by again when I have the choice... as for right now I am getting the hang of my new job, which is turning into a very easy transition because of some great soldiers.

I was bummed out when I first told what projects were coming up for my platoon. They didn't seem too important to OIF or to Iraq itself... but in the past few days a couple of projects have come up for my platoon that could have a large impact. Of course I'll have to save the details for after they are done.

Life is alright here - The PX and gym are open 24 hours... the mortars don't come in that often... I have A/C... but it's starting to cool-off anyway... the DFAC is nearby and the food is good enough that it looks like I'll be gaining weight... no one has shot at me... and there's a guy that sells DVD's with two movies each for only 3 bucks... and I have plenty of 'net access.

Anyway - things are going good here. I greatly appreciate all the PF members that have been sending me emails.
