Another Update!

Well, I thought I would share a photo with you of our can. Yes, I am very proud of it considering that the previous time over here it has been tent living. We have gone out of our way to make it enjoyable in our free time. Still, it aint no Khobar Towers but it works!!!

Cigars and coffee are the nightly theme. I enjoy a nice Victor Sinclair Churchill and we unwind.

We discovered that our can was part U-boat when it rained the other day. We were taking on water pretty quick. Luckily the PX had caulk and we went up to the top and sealed her good. Makes you think that this has happened before if the PX has a huge supply of caulk.

Not much to report other than the donut of misery is now showing 25% down, 75% to go! 89 days in the sand and over 250 to go.

Temp's are cooling off dramatically and we've had a few days of rain and you all know it turns this place into a mud wrestler's paradise.

We have been noticing that more and more negative news is generating from the US press about what's going on over here. Nothing new there I guess.

We have had some good USO visits over the past month. Some folks I have never heard of and others that you know pretty well.

Mail is still taking anywhere from 6 to 16 days to get here from the land of the big px.

We continue to boycott the DFAC and we are having some good fixin's sent from the homeland so we can have a small get together and do a little cookout for Thanksgiving Day.

Thanks to the powers of "liberation through conversation" we have been able to secure some good grub to cookout with on Saturdays.

I'm sorry that these updates seem sterile but OPSEC rules where we are and what goes on.
