Exclamation Homeland Security......

1-28-2021

Much has been said about “The Department of Homeland Security”, but the facts will never change! For were it not for “These Troopers In Green”, the border between “The Badlands of Mexico and The Good Old U.S. of A.” just might be as raucous and rough-shod today as it was about a century or so ago, along about the same time that Doronteo Arango (Pancho Villa) (1877-1923) was terrorizing our “South-Western Borders!”

Of course, “Old Pancho”, who kicked-up his heels for the last time, going on a century or so ago, is no longer among the living, even though “Our Southern Border” still has a habit of getting more than a bit raw-nerved now and then! But have no doubts about it, that still nearly invisible line that separates “The Poverty of The South” from “The Often Affluence Life-Style of Lady Liberty Herself (comparatively speaking of course), still exists even to this very day, as anyone with even a modicum of savvy and worldliness, will tell you! And depending upon the time of day, and even the reason for the visit, “The Third World” can still nail you to a wall, if you are not extremely careful and ever vigilant!”

So the next time that you decry the actions of “Our Own Border Patrol”, along with the gallant kids who serve within it, I invite you to journey alone, and in the darkness of some often turbulent evening, southward across that indelible line that separates “The Old World” from “The New!” But beware, for even though there are good, as well as bad, on both sides of “The International Border”, if you do not carefully watch your Own “Ps and Qs (behavior), you just might find yourself irretrievably ensconced within the fires of perdition itself?

Re: https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/nationa...-nation-s-59th

WASHINGTON – U.S. Customs and Border Protection is participating in the U.S. Secret Service-led security operations in preparation and support of the 59th Presidential Inauguration.

CBP routinely contributes its unique capabilities during National Special Security Events (NSSEs), manmade and natural disasters, and other large spectator or high threat events.

One such capability is CBP’s Air and Marine Operations’ aircraft-based, downlink video streaming. This capability provides leadership on the ground a real time common operating picture of conditions within a security zone. Downlink also provides a real time damage assessment of impact areas that assist states in prioritizing response areas during disasters.

Another unique CBP capability is CBP’s Office of Field Operations’ mobile non-intrusive inspection technology. CBP can quickly scan vehicles and packages to identify potential threats before those threats can enter a security zone.

CBP is also contributing Air and Marine aircraft and smallboat crews to augment airspace and maritime security operations, as well as contributing Border Patrol agents and Field Operations officers to supplement U.S. Secret Service and U.S. Capitol Police security details.

CBP's border security mission is led at ports of entry by CBP officers from the Office of Field Operations, along U.S. borders by agents from the United States Border Patrol, and from the air and sea by agents from Air and Marine Operations. Learn more about CBP’s border security mission.

CBP’s top priority is to keep terrorists and their weapons from entering the U.S. while welcoming all legitimate travelers and commerce. CBP officers and agents enforce all applicable U.S. laws, including against illegal immigration, narcotics smuggling and illegal importation.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is the unified border agency within the Department of Homeland Security charged with the management, control and protection of our nation's borders at and between official ports of entry. CBP is charged with securing the borders of the United States while enforcing hundreds of laws and facilitating lawful trade and travel.
