V.F.W. or American Legion?

I got applications in the mail for the V.F.W. and also for the American Legion and was wondering if I should join one and which one to join if I did. Anyone have any feedback?

Visit both and see which one you like. I have belonged to both and they are very different from city to city. I liked the VFW cause there were more vets but I liked the Legion cause there were a lot more women to dance with ! :lol:

DMZ is right. You have to go to both. Sometimes different Halls are better than others.
It depends on the crowd. What activities they've got going on. How many members
are there. Some are small and quite - some are large and noisy. It depends on what
you are looking for.

I'm sortof a loaner don't mix well right away. I have to get a lay of the land
before I engage my foot into my mouth. Certain issues or subjects are like
anything else. Open thy mouth and say the wrong thing- well all hell can
break loose.

But that's like any pub. Make no trouble and your in like Flynn. Be a
trouble maker and your 86'd and the word will spread like fire.

Both clubs have women some have more hair on their chest than others.
They will let you in just tell them you were invited by the Boats and
they may let you have a beer on the house. You will have fun
