Default Scare America

Obviously unable to compete in the real world or in the real world's market place, Air America, the wannabe liberal talk radio station with approximately 374 listeners on a good day, had taken to fleecing charities for payroll money.

The Air America Radio scandal involving the alleged diversion of hundreds of thousands of dollars from a New York City charity has reportedly led to two more resignations. The case involves the Gloria Wise Boys & Girls Club in Bronx, N.Y., where executive director Charles Rosen resigned suddenly last week.

Sources told the New York Post that acting executive director Lorraine Corva will be leaving her job Aug. 26, and that assistant executive director Jeff Aulenback also quit, effective immediately.

While a club spokesman refused to say why the two were leaving, sources told the paper the departures are "tied to the ongoing fallout from the highly unusual and possibly improper loan to Air America, as well as other dubious fiscal practices."

A member of the board at Gloria Wise said management had been "hoodwinked" by Rosen into making the "bizarre" loans of $875,000 to the liberal radio network.

"We're not commenting on anything right now because of the delicate nature of negotiations to get the money back" from Air America, said spokesman Jim Grossman.

Can you imagine the screaming and gnashing of teeth if the political roles had been reversed? Let the trials begin!

Hey, it's OK...it wasn't like they were giving $$ to the evil right
wing conspirators..I predict a slap on the wrist if it ever comes to trial.

A slap on the wrist is not sufficient!

Several questions:

1. If there is such a thing as a salable liberal message, whatever that message is, why have they been such utter failures in marketing their message?

2. If they do have a message, is the reason why it is so unmarketable is that nobody either likes or believes the message?

3. Do the liberals really think that they can attract people of faith when the liberals still adhere to the brutal idea of partial birth abortions?

4. In addition to the money trail, what is the link between the Boys Club and Air America?

5. Doesn't Air America have any more ethics than to accept money from a charity in order tokeep their failing business venture afloat?

The chances of NYC getting repaid are between slim and none. Apparently there was some deal at arm?s length that is probably not supported by customary legal documentation/agreements or supportable via litigation. The words ?delicate negotiations? translates into ?we?re screwed and know it?.
Alas, the supposed ?higher moral ground? is just another blind for ripping-off charity kids and the tapped on ?halos? of the righteous social crusaders seem to need adjusting a bit.

Deception for a 'good' cause is always justified. Socialist writings are full of "the end justifies the means." And, if you have no firm moral foundation, how can you ever believe that not everything is justified for the 'good' cause?

But alas, opportunity always knocks anew. The emerging Mohammed Atta story brings with it limitless AirAmerica possibilities to destroy the personage of anyone who dares speak of such matters. That ought to get airtime up and some positive cash flow going and hopefully they will then see the need to repay the debt of a loan made in supposed 'good faith'.

A Boys and Girls Club had $875,000 laying around to "lend" to a radio station?

Bottom feeding, on the part of the party of the first part and second part.

Default Your Esteemed Scampness

Once again, the wagering blood in me roils up to declare that Air America will not vent a single word about how Slick and his gang blew it (pardon me, Freudian slip) again.

As a sidebar, I find it marvelously ironic that the name they chose, "Air America," was also the frontname for the CIA airline of our timeframe. I had the distinct pleasure of riding a C-46 from Tan Son Nhut to Vung Tau for an ordered 3-day in-country R&R, a flight complete with round-eyed stews!

It seems if the Feds can send poor ol' Martha Stewart to the Big House for her little misdeeds, they ought to be able to send this current crop of miscreants up for 10 years.

Ay no Col, no bet here. Already the hackles are up and the fangs are bared that anyone would dare to presume or talk about the probability that intel had a bead drawn on Atta and were told to shush up via the 'Reno Wall'. Once again the fishing with hand grenades tricksters have a hole in the hull it would seem. And it?s an even bet that history will be faithfully rewritten and the 9/11 Commission report will be anointed the trash it always was from the get-go. It?s too early to tell, but something is moving and shaking and got some big eyes going and most the media dummied-up like the three monkeys.

Yup, I remember Air America planes coming in at Da Nang and had the inkling they were a CIA deal, but had neither direct knowledge nor ever a ticket to fly, LOL. The few I saw were Dakota tail draggers and looked mighty long in the tooth and un kept at best. I reckoned it was mighty bad ju ju just to look at them so I averted my eyes, you bet.

Yes, "Air America" does mean something different to another generation and, one wonders, to what degree was the choice of names innocently selected...
