I was hoping to use my nicknmae "Boats", that my dad gave me when I was born (He was a BMC in the Navy), but it was already taken. I couldn't think of anything else, so I just picked my present occupation. I'm not real creative.

Reflects my hometown, of course. Started out being called 'Frisco in AIT. Didn't take long for somebody to tack on Kid to it, as in CISCO Kid. Stuck with me the rest of my time in.

I was assigned infantry, and was asked (?), if I could volunteer for long range patrol. I was the brass one, the person sent out to see if Charlie was around. Also, if someone had a request, and needed a person with enough gumption to ask higher ups for permission to do it, I was asked to perform the duty. I did two tours as LRPS. Yes I did the spell check.
