You Just Can Not Re-Engineer History

(Aka - Don’t screw with the truth)

Unfortunately, history ceases to be history when it is poisoned with inaccuracy and tripe! And there is nothing that any of us can do to alter this axiom, save for learning how to tell the truth, and how to adhere to fact!

As a matter of fact, even one of “The Ten Commandments of The Almighty” touts the virtue of truth! However, the “Neo Edicts of Humanity” see little or no evil in being a devout and accomplished liar! As a matter of fact, lying itself is now viewed in many political and social circles as being a plus factor and the route to political success, finally proving that mankind’s word is no longer his sacred and expected bond!

Now getting back to history itself - let me ask you this question: “Who Writes The Damned Thing?” And are we therefore to assume that not everything that is contained within this written and oral account of mankind’s dealings upon this planet is still beyond contestation? Or could it possibly be that there have been numerous occasions, within the brief, though illustrious annals of time, where some overly creative type has altered the facts to fit their own agenda? Or are you too one of those ever believing souls who continue to operate totally upon faith alone, along with the accuracy and integrity of every other historical-revisionist who has ever drawn a breath of semi-polluted air, and ultimately wishful thinking?

In closing - let me add that: “Truth in itself is often a magnificent, although eminently abused commodity!” And they, who are eternally devoid of truth and integrity, are not only liars, but also (and far too often), they can also become quintessentially successful as a practicing bureaucrat- “You Choose Which?”

HC - I think what's missing is the comeback by the liars.

I would suspect they would say - you misconstrued my meaning therefore you missed what I was trying to say. Let me rephrase it. When they get caught they have a way of making an amended statement in hopes its more favorable.
