Saudi Arabia Has 3 Words for Iran After It Stops Missile Over City, They Could Ignite Fire in Region

RE: http://ijr.com/the-declaration/2017/...e-fire-region/

In fact, over the weekend, Saudi Arabia intercepted a ballistic missile over its capital city, Riyadh. According to reports, the missile came from Yemen where Iran has backed the Houthis — a radical Islamist group that the U.S. military has had to deal with before.

President Donald Trump commented on the incident, complimenting the defense system that stopped the missile from causing a catastrophe.

“We make the best military equipment in the world. You saw the missile that went out? And our system knocked the missile out of the air. That's how good we are. Nobody makes what we make, and now we're selling it all over the world,” he said.

What Saudi Arabia is saying about the failed attack could bring things to the next level, though.

Saudi Arabia on Monday called the attempted missile attack on Riyadh’s main airport this weekend an “act of war” by Iran and vowed to retaliate.

Houthi rebels in Yemen, who have been fighting Saudi-backed forces there for several years, claimed responsibility for firing the ballistic missile on Saturday. The missile traveled more than 500 miles before Saudi Arabia intercepted it.

The official Saudi Press Agency charged that debris from the missile proved that it was made in Iran and smuggled into Yemen. American officials have previously charged that Iran has armed the Houthi rebels.

The attempted missile strike was “a blatant act of military aggression by the Iranian regime and could rise to be considered as an act of war,” the Saudi Press Agency said in a statement.

Yet, Iran isn't the only country that has Saudi Arabia discussing the prospect of war.

The New York Post reported that:

Saudi Gulf affairs minister Thamer al-Sabhan told Al-Arabiya TV that Saad al-Hariri, who announced his resignation as Lebanon’s prime minister on Saturday, had been told that acts of “aggression” by Hezbollah “were considered acts of a declaration of war against Saudi Arabia by Lebanon and by the Lebanese Party of the Devil.”

Hezbollah is a radical Islamist group like the Houthis. It appears Saudi Arabia doesn't want to see Iran gain more strength in the Middle East, following the power vacuum that's been left by ISIS.

O Almighty Lord God, who neither slumberest nor sleepest; Protect and assist, we beseech thee, all those who at home or abroad, by land, by sea, or in the air, are serving this country, that they, being armed with thy defence, may be preserved evermore in all perils; and being filled with wisdom and girded with strength, may do their duty to thy honour and glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
