Arrow JUSMAG patches

Really rare JUSMAG patches, ca. 1961-63 or so.

The attached jpg depicts one variant of the JUSMAG patch that my father wore while serving in Thailand 1960-63.

Nice one, Ranger

Not sure, but I think that variant is sometimes called MAAG-T (in short hand)

I recall my father and his counterparts using the expression "MAG Thailand" or simply JUSMAG...we were living in BKK at the time and I was attending highschool at the International School of Bangkok. He wore the old 'canvas' type camo fatigues with the black metal buttons having the 13 star pattern...I later wore one of his uniforms while serving in Vietnam 65-66.

What an honor... "I later wore one of his uniforms while serving in Vietnam 65-66."

The unit I served with trained air and ground crew on C-123 & C-47, using NCOs from MAAG-VN just back from Da Nang. Only they knew what we were actually training for...
