Default What will we leave to posterity?

David...... This is for you!

What are we telling the youngsters of today? What profound thoughts are we going to leave them of our service in Vietnam? Are we going to leave them with the words of the "Lord Gimpy" and the Sainted "Urbsdad"?
You are doing a disservice to the veterans who populate this board by allowing this hateful crap to spread. David....unless I get a promise from you that you will monitor these boards and "clean up your act", I will never post here again. This is not an "idle threat", I have become tired of the constant Republican/Democrat fight. Politics are not part of the military experience! We did not go to war because we were Republicans or Democrats. You are allowing a division of America! You need to clean up YOUR act David or I'm bailing out. BTW...anything I have written is copyright so you will have to delete every post I have written or I will have to sue the crap out of you.

SUPERSCOUT...you can find me at SOCNET and I will be happy to vett you.

Murph...here are some of your quotes that you will leave for posterity on this board. You, sir, are a disgrace.

Larry

By the way.. you seem to be very confused...Congress mandated about 10 years ago, that any veteran could get medical treatment through the VA. It is the law.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Gimpy....I see it very clearly now.....the only motivation you have is "Free Money". Get whatever you can out of the VA!

I'm rated 60% disabled but I have never taken one red cent from the VA because I am able to work and function and I believe that there are other guys out there that need the money more than I do. I think that you are one of those guys who thinks you should get whatever you can, even if you don't really need it, because kyou want a free ride.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

05-31-05 9:23 PM

URBSDAD6.......I notice that on your profile you list your MOS as 91B2P...........tell me.....where are the "Islands of Langerhans"?
Just for your information........when I was enlisted I was a 91B4S. Got sick of taking orders from folks who knew less than I did so I went to OCS at Robinson Barracks.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

"My kind" do get it Gimpy....we're on to the DNC bull crap! Yes Gimpy I earned my bennies! I also stayed in and retired.
You have a Purple Heart Gimpy, which entitles you to medical care for disabilities caused by that wound......there's no where that you can show me that the Army told anybody that they'd be eligible for a lifetime of free medical just because they put on a uniform. Old age isn't service connected Gimpy.....so they won't pay for your senility.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

03-03-05 07:27 AM

You don't have a "Case" to rest Gimpy. "Veterans" with a 2 year hitch as draftees have NO RIGHT to a lifetime of care through the VA if they don't have a service connected disability. Why the hell should I or any other taxpayer foot the bill for someone who has a bad ticker and diabetes from a lifetime of abuse to his body AFTER he was discharged from the military? Where in anyone's enlistment contract does it say that they will be entitled to "Lifetime Care"? You have to RETIRE to be eligible for that Gimpy. Granted, you have some service connected disabilities from your wounds but I doubt that your ticker problems are "Combat Related". The problem with the VFW and American Legion and other veterans groups is that they have the mindset that anybody who ever served a day in uniform is entitled to medical care from the VA for any ailment even though it's not service connected. People who use the VA for health care when they don't meet the poverty standard, and for non-service connected ailments are stealing from the American Taxpayer. I have no sympathy for them.

( said to me )

Ok...you've been rated at 30%. Why do you believe you DESERVE 100%? Because you want the free ride? I'm rated at 50% and I have never taken a dime from the VA. There are people out there who really need the 100% rating and I feel that every penny I would take from the VA would come out of the pockets of those who really need it. I WORK FOR A LIVING so I don't really need to collect from the VA. And you have 30% for PTSD! I have 50% for gunshot wounds and fragemnet wounds received in combat as an Infantryman. I have trouble walking! You have trouble sleeping..........poor baby! I hope you don't get the 100% that you're after. If your disability was for wounds I'd be all for you. But I don't think that the tax payers should subsidize veterans for Patriotism! PTSD is another word for Patriotism
!

Larry, for a minute there I thought you were talkin about me in your post #3................

You're right........there's MANY, MANY more 'examples' of how vile and disgusting the so-called 'Col' has exibited his behavior on these forums that everyone should be able to see what a disgrace he is.

He should be banned FOREVER!

Default please be calm

I guess I don?t have a dog in this fight. Murph, Gimp, Larry all four of us fought for our country and what our country stands for. Freedom of speech would be one of those fundamentals which caused us to put on uniforms and put ourselves in danger. Free
speech which needs protection is always unpopular speech.

Most people on this site are Alpha-males, we needed to be to survive. Now we are civilians but we?re still Alpha-males, we hold strong opinions and we?ll never agree on everything. To say, ?If you don?t agree with me, your wrong?, is like saying Miss America 2001 is more beautiful that Miss America 2003. It?s an opinion, not a provable fact.

Please don?t take everything so seriously, we can all agree to disagree.

Stay healthy, stay cool,
Andy

Default David...

Excluding Andy's response, whom apparently prefers being nice to some of the vilest Veteran Insulters of non-Democrat Veterans on This Site (Don't know why?),...you most certainly don't have to research very much or far to realize that everything colmurph griped about is quite accurate and correct.

After all, Gimpy's and MORTARDUDE's reponses right here on this thread pretty-much and alone prove what The Colonel has stated.
I guess that under any circumstances, both just can't be very civil with those opposing their gods and/or The DNC?

Besides, I would personally prefer discussing political things with honest, rational and sensible people like Murph, rather than with deceiving poor loosers and/or fanatical: "Democrats/Socialists/Leftists posing as Liberals" such as Gimpy and MORTARDUDE,...anyway and any-day-of-the-week.

What I'm talkin about Andy?

With folks like Recon and Smurph continuing to spout their 'personal attacks' you'll NEVER be able to have the kind of reasonable dialog and debate that this country was founded on.

Anyone who would agree with the way Murph conducts himself around here (as it appears Recon does) must be as guilty of his prejudiced, disgusting and insulting behavior as he is.

The 'PROOF' is only one post above this one.

I'm just as willing as anyone to be 'civil' in making an arguement. But, guys like those two are either unwilling or unable to try and make their 'point' without a personal, demeaning and disgusting character assasination against the 'individual' that may happen to have a different 'opinion' than theirs!

Neither of them can offer anything other than their own disgusting personal attacks to bolster their position(s).

Sorry, but the 'evidence' supports this. All you have to do is go back and read some of their crap to see what I mean.

Default David...

SEE WHAT I MEAN,...when somebody (ANYBODY) dares exposing fanatical leftist wartime underminers? Doesn't matter whom does so, such will be character-assassinated, demeaned and belittled,...and even if The Commander-In-Chief of The United States of America and simultaneously also quite gratifying and satisfying to our many terrorist enemies.

David, how does that saying go?
"Hell, with friends like that,...who-the-hell needs enemies?
Think such quite appropriate,...and especially here and now.

Still, and in fairness to all concerned,...there's very little (if any?)
Honor, Honesty, Forthrightness displayed by staunch political hacks ever.
So basically, one should never expect such from Dems in general,...in the first place. Hey,...that way you'll never be disappointed.
