Are the Politicians Worried?
Every time my phone rings, its a local party member wanting me to vote for some individual, not so bad, I can take that. The thing that is really bugging me now, is the recordings ( like the Gov. becoming a telemarketer) that wants you to vote for him but also a list of others . I hate recorded messages. I also am on the states list to block telemarketing.

bbeil, I understand that here in Illinois it's illegal for someone to leave an electronic message on your machine. (Yeah, right!)
Nonetheless, telemarketers and politicians don't follow the rules set for the rest of us. Send his ofice an e-mail telling them that you will NOT vote for him because of his smarmy tactics and that his phone call invaded your privacy. (It won't work, but it'll make you feel better!) I like the ones who say (when I make an error and pick up the phone), "Hello, Jeff?" I ask if we've met. The answer is always, "No," and then I demand to know why the f*** they're calling me by my first name. The response is usually 'click'. Sometimes I answer just to have some fun! Jeff |
