Default Super Bowl Half Time Show

My Opinion:

STUNK STUNK STUNK !!!!!!

To much Rap and its filthy lyrics.

To much simulated sex from dancing.

Nudity with Janet Jackson showing her right boob. ( must follow in the family ), especially with preteens watching this show.

Besides that the game was one of the best ever.

enough........

I agree-they should have had Willie Nelson and Toby Keith back on at halftime instead of that shit they had-at least I could understand the words they sang and Willie and Toby do not grab there crotches while performing.Best super bowl I have seen though

Default Janet's extra show

I was watching the news this morning and they showed a replay of "the flash" that was pixelated out. CBS said that they had run through the routine 30-40 times during rehersals and everything went as planned. Timberlake said that his ring got caught on ther jacket and has apologized. I haven't heard what Janet Jackson has to say, yet. I agree with you guys that the halftime show was awful. Maybe its just our generation but it did nothing for me. I was disappointed in the commercials, too. None of them really stood out, like in the past and they're half the fun of the Super Bowl.

However, the real fun is THE PATRIOTS WON!!!!!!!!

The not-so-fun part is that 5 cars were overturned and several trash fires were started in the streets in Boston last night. One person was killed and more badly injured when an allegedly drunk driverdrove through a crowd of people. Blowing off steam by screaming and hollering is one thing, but property damage and vehicular homicide are not anywhere near acceptable. I was hoping we'd be above that, but I was wrong. Damn shame.

Exclamation

REVWARDOC et al -

The boast of "HEY, WE WON" is one (unfortunately), that I can not partake of! For you see, although I too am from Massachusetts (originally), my wife is from the Charlotte, North Carolina area! LOL "However, at least the game was close!!"

I do recall, however, my wife saying that her and her dad, who served upon (I believe) a destroyer escort in the North Atlantic (WWII), use to watch games between the N.Y. Yankees and whatever team they were playing against. My wife would always root for the Yankees, and her father for any other team that they were pitted against! I think that this was because Micky Mantle played for the Yanks?!

"Now I ask you - is that any way for a "Southin Gal" to act?!"

Default HARDCORE...

Understand where you're coming from. Still, I come at it from a different perspective.

When such a game is so well played and so well matched (champions one and all),...one hates to see one being the looser.

But then, and since not a fan of neither,...I guess I can afford the luxury of being so generous and fair.

WOW(!),...starting to sound like a politico.

One thing we CAN agree on!

IT SURE DID "STINK"!

CBS should be found GUILTY of FCC violations and receive a HUGE MONETARY FINE for letting this happen..............as well as Janet Jackson.

Default The show

I didn't think the show stunk, It sure didn't live up to Superbowl quality but it didn't stink. So So maybe.
I have to agree on the rap-crap, but then there are Millions of people that like it, so what do you do. I try to convine my daughter that it doesn't take any talent at all to do rap, and it takes a relly talented person to sing well. Rappers just read lerics many times until memorized then say them into a microphone to a beat, Big deal. Oh yea, you have to flick your hand out in front of you about a hundread times also.
When it comes to music, you will never please everyone. I would have rather seen ZZ-top but thats just me. Blues with a beat.

Thought it was pretty bad.

The only performance I really enjoyed was the national anthem,

Toby Kieth and Willy would of been good if they hadn't of made them do the segmented thing. Who wants to bet also they were told not to sing certain songs??

HC,

My brother-in-law moved to NC about 6 years ago but there was no torn loyalties regarding the Super Bowl. For him, it was Pats all the way. I'm going to send him a Pats Super Bowl Champions t-shirt and see if has the guts to wear it down there. Knowing him, he probably will.

Your father-in-law was on the North Atlantic run? So was mine. He served aboard the USS Wichita and made the Murmansk run several times. Maybe they ran into each other in Archangel or something.

To all:

Go to www.fark.com and look in the February 1st entries. You'll find some close-up post-exposure shots of Janet and Justin and other sites with more information about what happened at the halftime show.
