June 26, 1969. Armed Forces Induction Center Memphis, TN. Next stop Ft. Campbell, KY.
They decided the whole row in front of me ( draftees like me ) would be going in the Marines. One poor soul on the end passed out and fell. An old gunnery Sgt., who looked like he could have been around in WW1, but still fit and grizzled, eased him up and pulled him thru the door all the while with a big 'ol smile on his face. HOORAH !!!! Larry
