How about a nice glass of wine?
Hi Y'all!
I found a nice steak wine for $8-- it's called Bushman's Gully. It's from Australia. Granted, I've had nicer wines, but lately I've been running across wines that go with fruit, cheese, seafood, game, etc. Or by themselves, for that matter. Help me out: if I had all y'all over for dinner, what would you serve? Love & Kisses, Gracie |

Gracie,
With a good steak try either or: Chateau Plagnac, MEDOC or my personal favorite Chateau Larose-Trintaudon also a MEDOC. You will only be disappointed because their French......can't help it, I still love French Wine. I pretend it's made and bottled by French that still like us. Helps with my guilt of still buying anything French. Either are also great with cheese but basically a super dinner wine. LePackeaux.

Whine
If your thinking of one of those white wine and cheese parties you might want to try something from Thierry and Guy (sorry it too is a French wine). It?s called Fat Bastard, a Chardonnay. The letter A in Fat has an ?accent tegue? after it. At those college professor type parties lots of folks get a kick out of asking, ?Would you care for another Fat Bastard?? It?s only about 10-12 dollars a bottle and isn't bad at all. Serve it at chilled, not cold.
You didn?t meet Packo. He?s a nice guy. However when he drinks wine he usually drinks it with a gin chaser. Utterly ruins the pallet. Stay healthy, Andy |

Ruffino, Special Reserva, Chianti, 1999, Gold Lable
One of the best Italian wines I've ever had and it goes very nicely with steak, pasta or just on its own. Of course the Ruffino Aziano Chianti 2000 works nicely too. And its not as expensive.

Yellow tail shiraz. Much more valuable than it costs.

Personally, I don't care much for the shiraz. Too much after bite for my taste.
Chiantis can do that too sometimes. If you want a gentle red wine the Beaujolais or even a Beaujolais-Villages is very nice. The flavor doesn't try to compete with dinner.

Tom, Tom, Tom:
Dear Paco,
I've tried so hard to help you out of your guilt by checking into Washington Wines. Alas, my theropy has been rejected. According to the pamphets around here, of course they are prejudice, Washington wines are better than French wines and no guilt. Well, so much for my extended counseling efforts. At least I can say I tried. All you fine wine tasters go to: http://www.winesnw.com/wahome.html http://www.washingtonwine.org Your guilt will soon flee! Keith |

I'm with you Lt. homie,
Ripple goes with anything and if it's not available, T-Bird will do.
