WARETOWN, N.J. -- A soldier back home on 15-day leave from Iraq says
troops' lives are being endangered by substandard body armor.

Spc. Joseph Fabozzi, a member of the New Jersey National Guard, said
before he left Iraq that he was asked to sign an agreement not to talk
about the problem. But he has, granting an interview to the Asbury
Park Press.

Fabozzi said Vietnam-era flak jackets still being used by thousands of
the troops will stop a knife but not a bullet.
