Default Anti-War Up - TEACH-IN FOR PEACE / PROTEST ARMY EXERCISES AT MAKUA

ACTION ALERT:
TEACH-IN FOR PEACE / PROTEST ARMY EXERCISES AT MAKUA
Monday, December 8
8:00 AM

Makua Military Reservation Gate
No more bombs - No more bullets

'A'ole Stryker Brigade!
Don't send troops to kill or be killed

Heal the 'aina, Malama the people
Peace for Makua, Peace for the World

After the Army burned Makua in July 2003, the community said "Enough
already!" Now the Army wants to train in Makua again and send young men and
women to kill or be killed in the unjust and deadly occupations of Iraq and
Afghanistan.
Train for Peace: As the Army trains for war and invasion inside the gate,
join us outside the gate, to stand in opposition to Army exercises in Makua
and to discuss strategies for stopping the U.S. war for empire and for
building a true peace with justice.
Bring signs and banners, umbrellas and rain gear, mana'o (your thoughts),
music, and food to share.

A small group of protesters outside the gates held signs against the
exercises and against deploying troops to Iraq and Afghanistan.

The exercises are scheduled to go on for the next two weeks.

That's it? What did you learn?
