Brothers,Sisters,Friends,Comrades, I have been on an active campaign to have a stamp made in honor of my fallen brother comrades who perished in the terroist bombing of BLT 1/8 24TH MAU Headquarters Barracks,in Beirut,Lebanon at approxiamately 0620 October 23rd, 1983. 273 U.S.Marines, sailors,and soildiers perished on that fateful day. I am requesting for all readers of this forum to log on to the petition website read and sign it then forward it to everyone who would agree to sign it on your contact list. Beirut,Lebanon Peacekeeper Stamp Initiative
Friends,this Petition-Online is still very much active so please forward the URL to all your friends and contacts that will sign it. I went to Washington,DC on 09 January and met with Congressman Walter B. Jones Jr. R-NC,my attorney handling my case,lobbyists,and congressional staff. There is a House Resolution #45 floating around somewhere on the Hill. A letter was sent to the PMG and CSAC. And a five minute speech is to be on the floor today,or tommorow. More media and press releases are coming.... As we know how the legislative process works with competing agenda,viewpoints,and interests,grandiose speechmaking,logrolling and then compromise.... Well folks I don't want compromise, I want a stamp for my fallen comrades and the others listed on my petition. So please keep this initiative alive.As the saying goes it will take an act of Congress. Well this should have been a done deal in 1984.No questions asked or No debates! Thanks for your time!!
