Thanks for the reply, but, my name ain't steve, its Ron.
I was standing on a steel runway on a base camp and the Chinook came in with two palets of Beer in a sling. I have no Idea where he got them from but I took a case. (Hamms) I had a jeep and they weren't going to catch me. I had to give LT 3 but the rest went to my tent. (greedy LTs).

Operation Hawthorne was MAY/JUN66. It was over by the time I got to my company in JUL66, but we were still in the Dak To area doing Operation Beauregard. I was sent out in the field with some of the same fatigues that I was issued in Basic. As I recall, all of the "old" guys were wearing the old style fatigues also. The 101st got in-country in JUN or JUL65 and, I'm sure, came over with the stateside fatigues. As my tour progressed we started getting jungle fatigues issued to us on resupply, but I can't remember exactly when that was. I know we were around Tuy Hoa, and that was from AUG-DEC66. I'm thinking around OCT or NOV66.

Paco: I may be old[er], but I'm still better looking than you. We can take a poll on this .

You're both UGLY!!!!. Now the true question is: who's uglier?
Frisco is second from the left and Paco is on the right. I don't know what they were talking about in this picture but, from the way Paco is holding his hand, I think it's sexual in nature

I don't know who this Paco guy is but from looking at the picture, he sure is better looking than the guy that looks like Santa. One vote for Paco.

Damn....I walked right into that one.....This is an easy question, of the 2 people we discussed earlier. who is uglier
