1. Jealousy and Envy:
We are the major power in the World they wish they were
that power.
2. Because we are there and they want to run their own
government.
3. Because they are taught that U.S. with its gross wealth is
unholy. The U.S. operates on selfish greed.
4. Because we are immoral. They kill gay's and those involved
in adultry. The U.S. has no moral restraints and they hate us.

And, that is just some of the reasons they hate Americans.

The serious side of the sargeant's observation is that war does inevitably, right or wrong, always lead to more and more generations of non-combatant victims or casualties... families who never ever ever forget.

If there could ever be (which there never WILL be) a period of at least two generations without a single war on earth, then peace MIGHT come... until the next lunatic criminal decided he needed another Reich to make things right for himself.

Which is why PF put up a Warfare forum... since we cannot seem to get away from it, might just as well at least understand it completely.
