Default For all those we loved and lost...

~ It's Never Easy To Say Goodbye ~

Recorded by Wynonna Judd

Words and Music by Bernie Nelson
and Allen Shamblin

Jimmy climbs on board that old yellow bus
It sure looks big in his little eyes
His mama waits as her tears kick up the dust
It?s never easy to say goodbye

Julie Ray in her pearl white wedding gown
Has found her wings and it?s time to fly
It?s all her dad can do to keep from breakin? down
It?s never easy to say goodbye

It ain?t easy
To ever say goodbye
It ain?t easy
Lettin? go of the ones you love
But believe me
We'll meet again by and by
If not here
Then somewhere up above

I've had some friends that I lost along the way
They?ve been called on down the line
Though their time was short, I think about them every day

And it ain't easy to say goodbye

It ain?t easy
To ever say goodbye
It ain?t easy
Lettin? go of the ones you love
But believe me
We'll meet again by and by
If not here
Then somewhere up above

Now the time has come to go our separate ways
And it?s all right if you want to cry
And though I know, we?ll meet again someday
It?s never easy to say goodbye

It ain?t easy
To ever say goodbye
It ain?t easy
Lettin? go of the ones you love
But believe me
We'll meet again by and by
If not here ........

Then. somewhere......
up above ~

Amen Sis!
Gotta be remembering those who have gone before me

My Dad..1st Sgt, 82nd Inf. Div. QMC...WWI
My Uncle Marv...Combat Engineer..7th Inf. Div. WWI
My Uncle Harry..Railway Corps, WWI, Macarther's Staff WWII
My Uncle Orie..USMC, Veracruz intervention
My Cousin Donny..US Army ARTY..FAC..Korea
My childhood friend..Cece Moyer...USAF KIA Vietnam
My Schoolmate..Paul Bush, USMC..KIA Khe Sanh.
Gone but not forgotten...God but I miss them all. But, I know that I'll meet them all for a brew on Fiddler's Green someday. Wooooo-hooo what a reunion that will be.
Let's keep the memory of all who served , both those who gave their all for us and their country (they will be forever young), and those who grew old and then left us. They are sorely missed.
