Robert,
Welcome to the PF and welcome home bro.

Your name looks familar. Do you post on the 4th ID BB? If so, I heard they are shutting it down. Maybe some of the people from the 4th ID BB would like it here.

Bill

Sn-e3, yes indeed Washington state is god's country. I used to live on Bainbridge Island, my son and family live in Poulsbo. I was stationed at Fort Lewis for 3 years, didn't want to leave it, but the Army told me to go the 2nd ID in Korea. I loved it up there, and loved Washington, went all over the state, from the top of the state all the way down to Vancouver, across the state to the Tri City area, moses lake, and other places. It was one of the best places I was stationed.

R.J.R.,
Always plenty of room for another good and honest Irishman here on this board..Welcome!
Spent the past week in your neck of the woods at the Western Grands Quarter Midget races...TOO hot.The moss on my back was crinkling up.Home again in the temperate rain forest of the Olympic Peninsula.Thank God!

Robert,
Checked out the new 4th ID BB and it looks great. I know Bob P. from a Vietnam Veterans Message Board and he's a pretty good guy in my book. Also know CactiBen or VetGrunt or whatever else he calls himself these days from the same VN Vet Msg Board and JackB too.

Ron - My first tour was with a MACV unit the 525th MI GP. I was not an MI type, I was in a platoon of infantryman that provided security for the MI GP. We did tower guard, roving guard, gate guard, guarded the detainees bought in for questioning, and once a week did a 2 click patrol around the compound. My second tour was with the 4th ID Mar 69-70 with C-1/22 Inf.

Glad to have you on board !! I served with the 3/22 and 2/22(M), 25th ID, in 1970. Always good to have another "high-angle-hell" trooper around.

All the best,

Larry
