The 5,000-pound GM Defense Infantry Squad Vehicle.

A new U.S. Army vehicle is being tested in the Yuma Proving Ground in southwestern Arizona.

The Infantry Squad Vehicle is intended to carry an infantry squad’s nine soldiers and their equipment across long distances.

One of nine prototypes will be operated for over 5,000 miles of desert terrain at the proving ground.

Testing for the vehicle began in early February with a goal of finishing this spring.

The facility is expected to begin delivering production vehicles in April.

Personal note: No side doors - must be for rapid exit reasons? Open areas expose
soldier's to snipers I would think?

Amen.
