?Move over Anthrax Vaccine, here comes Lariam!?

Is it possible that the recent rash of murders at Fort Bragg, North Carolina [home of the Famous 82nd Airborne Division] may be linked to the Army?s use of ?LARIAM?, an anti-malaria drug administered to soldiers who served in Afghanistan!? The Pentagon is denying any connection, but medical evidence has proven that this drug has been known to cause agitation and aggression!

Back during the Vietnam War and before, it was said that some combatants were administered drugs to enhance their aggressive behavior, and even a movie [Jacob?s Ladder] hinted at this possibility? Of course, no doubt remains that the military did indeed mess around with mind bending drugs such as LSD and BZ [ref: *DAIG-IN 21-75, COS 385 and The Church Senate Hearings of 1977 on the use of hallucinogenics on military personnel]. The only problem was, that the system has for years denied complicity, contrary to their own, self-generated documentation!

Naturally, the military and the manufacturers of drugs linked to violent behavior, or physical and mental damage or harm to the victim, many of whom were uninformed and not volunteers at all, have adamantly denied any allegations that their product was at fault. As a matter of fact, record destruction, lies, denials and even threats have been utilized to mute the hapless experimentees*!

The latest drug to be held as suspect is Lariam, a deterrent to malaria. Like the highly controversial anthrax drug, this medicine too, is now coming under fire!

It seems that some very knowledgeable people are pointing a finger at this drug [Lariam] as the reason for the violent and deadly behavior that was displayed by a some returning troops from Afghanistan? As a matter of fact, and contrary to the Pentagon?s doctors who claim that no link has been found between the murders at Fort Bragg and this inoculation, it was reported that several of those accused of murder were themselves injected with Lariam!

Could it be that this drug reacts differently in different hosts? Could it also be that the
Pentagon is again in [self-protective] denial mode as concerns the possible that another of it?s pet elements may be a killer?s-apprentice! Is not this the same rationale that led to the military?s attempts to wriggle out of it?s prior involvement as concerns the Naval Mustard Gas Tests, Radiation Testing, Our Atomic Veterans, Hallucinogenic Experimentation, Agent Orange and Gulf War Syndrome! ?Hell, I?ll bet the shredders are already working overtime?!?

While this ?Lariam Expose? is just beginning to surface, The Honorable President George Walker Bush II was on another campaign junket in the western United States. This trip, however, was met with some protests. The protesters, however, were met with anything but a cordial response!

Am I to assume, as I was warned [anonymously over the phone] some time in the past that: ?Freedom of Speech? can only be pushed so far, especially when the topic is politically volatile or when freedom-loving people [many of them veterans] show enough guts to publicly speak out about a touchy issue - one that they firmly believe in!

America was not founded by men and women who suffered [perceived] indignity in silence, but rather by the voices of freedom, the peacefull protest of patriots, and the lawful actions of men [and women] of true honor and courage!?

Frankly Hardcore, I think the Lariam is just a ruse to cover up what they already know. These men come back, they don't debrief them, they bring in the barrels of booze and tank them up on liquor and rah, rah, rah. The military didn't issue wives and all that macho stuff. If you go around the bend you cant' get mental health without getting kicked out of the military and same thing if there's trouble in the family. The women get sick of being married to alcoholic jocks and leave. I've seen it over and over. But we don't talk about that side and how freqent deployments with no mental health services impact the family. The military trains killers and when they kill the wives they weren't encouraged to have in the first place the military has to pretend they care.

The military, unfortunately, has had decades to reherse and polish their denial syndrome! As a matter of fact, they have made an art of hypocracy, in all too many cases! This s not only unfare, it is indeed a pathetic reflection upon those who so quickly forgot! This is not the way that it has to be, but rather just the way that it is, and it needs changng!

I was issued a booklet when I left the service entitled: "ONCE A SOLDIER!" I must assume that the word "ONCE" is the key factor here, as some of the support mechanisms that are supposed to follow one after the military, are themselves - quickly abandoned by many of those in whom we have, and continue to, placed our trust!!
