Default Just like old times, I am in need of an answer

Ok, it has been a very long time since I have been here, I started college classes plus I have my high school classes still, plus volleyball and cheerleading and etc. I am in need of an answer and I believe that you guys can help. I heard that when being captured in Vietnam you were given a card that explained that you were now a POW, I would like to know what exactly was printed on that card for my college speech class. If any POWs or non- POWs could help that would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, I know you guys are always more than helpful!!

God Bless,
Taylor

Taylor-

Good to hear from you! I doubt that we are going to be much help this time around. Air crews were just about the only US POWs during Vietnam. On the ground prisoners were rarely taken and almost never kept alive. Sorry.

Default Don't think

when you became a POW the Vietnamese gave you a card....Ron's got it, we were given Geneva Convention Cards when we got to Vietnam explaining your rights....but the Vietnamese didn't sign the GC, and did not give a rats patoot about your rights. Most POW's taken in the South were tortured then executed. So much for the GC.
