The Vietnamese that I have met in this country have all said thank you for trying to help us.
According to them, growing up there during the war was almost as bad a growing up there afterwards. Joy

In your interview you mentioned Gia Le. In early 1968 that base was all Marines, Sea bee's and one army trans company. Me"""
I don't remember the 82nd being there too long, but the 101st must have taken over camp Rodriguez and renamed it Camp Eagle, I think??? When you went through the Hai Van Pass, It would have been a pretty narrow passage in the begining of 1968. |
