It`s All Good

During a phone conversation with my sweetest,best friend,Arrow,somehow the subject of movies and rentals came up, and after hanging up, my lazy,peaceful Saturday fell apart as I realized that I had in my possession movies that Kati and her friends got LAST weekend for thier slumber party.

After a successful search and destroy mission in her room,I located and,of course,rewound the tapes,got them in their respective boxes,grabbed my hat,and set out for town,leaving the warmth and comfort of my home for a rainy/snowy/windy drive to Star Video.

I walked into the store in an owly mood,and was ready to let the kid behind the counter have a bit of my oppinion about how the only way outfits like this stay in business is because of dumb-ass,forgetful old codgers like me,and......."Vietnam Veteran,huh? No past due charge for you,Sir! Thank you,Sir,and have a good evening,SIR!"

Griz...same thing happened to my Uncle and I last year. We were sitting having lunch at one of the many malls around Dallas. He in his Vietnam Vet hat and me in my 1st Cav hat. Then we noticed two young (16-20) girls starring at us. This continued for maybe 20 minutes and the girls got up to leave and walked straight to our table. We both figured we were going to get all the normal B.S. about war mongers and such but no, they both smiled and then said that they thanked us for our service and wished us a good evening.

Damn kids, just when you think they haven't a clue they blow you off your feet!
