An elderly villager carries wood Thursday in the southeastern Turkish town of Cizre, 25 miles from the Iraqi border. Turkey's military chief of staff Gen. Hilmi Ozkok pledged Wednesday to coordinate with the United States before sending troops into northern Iraq, saying there would be no deployment unless a refugee crisis occurred or its security was threatened.

Humanitarian Daily Ration
Humanitarian Daily Rations (HDRs) are brought into a supply storage location located with the 387 Air Expeditionary Group, at a forward deployed location. The HDRs are ready to eat meals and will be delivered to the aid of Iraqi refugee's, as part of the United States Humanitarian efforts during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
